About ICE-CAP
Our Mission
and History

ICE-CAP was founded in the Spring of 1992. Held originally at the Chicago Board of Education Building on Pershing Road, it moved in the summer of 1992 to Northeastern IL University's Chicago Teachers' Center, 770 N. Halsted Ave. ICE-CAP met there for about ten years with great appreciation.

Our focus is Chicago area instructional technology enthusiasts, including all schools in the Chicago area (public, parochial or private) and all grades Pre-K to 12th. For 2008-09, our meetings will be held bi-monthly on the third Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (for variation) from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Our goal is to meet at conveniently located model schools or offices.

ICE-CAP serves as a resource promoting information on technology, including grants, for computer education projects. Members share their expertise and experience with each other in various subjects and learning environments.
