Meeting topic is to review school technology plans, share comments, and then go out for refreshments and/or a meal at a local restaurant (donated). The technology plan should be embedded in a school’s improvement plan. CPS has done this for the first time with the 2006-08 School Improvement Plan for Advancing Academic Achievement (SIPAAA). They are due in early April and the drafts are due on March 23. Technology plans are also required for many grants and awards, such as e-rate. In addition, CPS SIPAAAs are being entered on-line (only accessible within CPS WAN). A school technology plan should ideally lay out your strategies and budgets for technology integration success. Come and share your school’s knowledge about what works now and what plans you have for the future. If possible, please bring your school’s latest tech. plan. NCREL has a good overview of developing a tech. plan.

4:15 - 5:00 Review each other’s tech. plans and provide feedback
5:00 - 6:00 Walk to local restaurant (donated) to continue discussions, plus share any additional comments, concerns, or ideas
ICE-CAP invites your chapter participation and leadership, as ICE-CAP depends on volunteer support. Leadership positions are open, including ICE-CAP Board offices, according to your interest level.
