Now with Absolute Software, the benefits of Computrace are being used by schools throughout the Midwest to empower students and teachers with laptop technology to improve accountability for all technology initiatives.

Part 1 – An Ethnographic Study of Digital Bigotry; an analysis of the HAVEs and NOTS: A discussion on why schools help to perpetuate the digital divide. The discuss centers on the new minority the NOTs and how the schools, by trying to help the NOTs are actually supporting the HAVEs. Learn how to recognize the symptoms and act appropriately.

Part 2 – The one-to-one solution: The real solution is for every student to have a computer device. With 24 years of working with the one to one concept, there are great examples of how to prepare and effectively implement 21st Century technology learning.  There are also many stories of how to fail.

Part 3 – The new reality: Other concepts are emerging and will change education in the next few years. These are gaining support and should begin to become part of your expectations. Individualized learning, virtual learning hybrids, one room schools, and 24/7 learning technology support are all part of the future.
