Program: Classroom Today presented by Chris Sakelaris of Classroom Connect
Classroom Today is web-based curriculum products and professional development programs for K-12 education free to all CPS teachers through the Illinois State Board of Education's state-wide 2003 subscription.
Through this subscription, Classroom Connect is pleased to provide Internet Online Instructional and Teaching Content Resources and Tools through the Illinois State Board of Education to assist the teachers of Illinois in reaching their goals to fully integrate technology into teaching and learning. We believe that educators need inspiration, tools, and support to effectively incorporate technology into their teaching. This subscription provides educators with access to Classroom Today, an online learning resource to use with students, and Connected University courses, for online professional development. Please contact your local district technology coordinator for activation information or activate your own administrative subscription before attending this workshop, if possible. The Digital Library Project aims to bridge the so-called "digital divide" in the Chicago Public School System by creating a high-quality digital library of materials to supplement classroom instruction as well as support individual student inquiry. The high level goals of this Digital Library Project are to:
1. Make available a digital library of teacher-selected K-12 materials to all participating schools,
2. Encourage resource-based learning, and
